Robot Girl Design Illustration Mk. 1

Hi guys, here’s a new illustration I’ve just finished. I originally started this painting by doing some figure studies, and then took one of the drawings I was working on and started to do a rough rendering pass. I enjoy working this way because I can get a pose that I like, and instead of creating a 1 to 1 painting from my reference, I like to take everything into a completely different direction. In this case, I used my figure drawing as a good base to create an original character of my own.

I really enjoyed how this piece turned out, and I hope you will also enjoy this one.

Thanks a lot for checking out my artwork, and I hope you have an awesome day! :)

Changed skin tone to create white material base. Started to block in the hair, and adding some designs to the character’s back and shoulder.

Refining the characters skin material, and also refining other details of the character, doing my best to keep in mind where my light source was coming from.

Finished my painting by adding in a simple background (still working to improve in this area, as well as creating better hair).
