A Midnight Snack

Haha, not too good at these artwork description things, but I was inspired to do some creature designs after working on several character and human anatomy studies, and wanted to shake things up a bit. I sketched a few different designs and when I started on the one that ultimately became what you see here, I knew that I liked it a lot. I like that it’s not too complicated of a design, but is simple and to the point, in my opinion. For the composition, I liked that the tail was pointing back up at the creature, and wanted to support the composition with a tree with a branch that curved over the creature, which leads to the tail and then back up again at the creature.

I’d like to do more creature designs since I find them to be very fun, so hopefully soon I’ll have another piece I can share. Till then, thank you so much for checking out my work, I really hope you liked it, and I hope you have a wonderful day! :)
