Daryl Dixon [The Walking Dead]
Hey guys, I’ve just finished my newest painting of Daryl. Now, if you’ve seen some of my previous work, then you might see that I like to play around with various color palettes, and I have a particular rendering style that I like, so that’s why my portrait of Daryl won’t look exactly like the photograph.
I’m still working on trying to develop and fine tune my style, so I’m definitely going to keep practicing and studying.

A rough value painting before I went into the coloring stage.
Starting to block in the base colors for my painting.
Began to refine areas of my painting to look more aesthetically pleasing, and also to change it a bit from the reference image I used at the beginning.
The finished version of Daryl after all the coloring and refinement stages were done.
